Dear Friends and colleagues,

On behalf of the Organising Committee of the 10th Meeting of the Study Group on Genetics of Diabetes (SGGD), we are pleased to invite you to participate in this exciting event, which will take place at the Solstrand Hotel in the magnificent landscape by the Bjørnafjord, just 30 km from the center of in Bergen, Norway.

Since our inaugural meeting in Malaga in 2007, the aim of the SGGD is to promote research into the genetic basis of all forms of diabetes and its related conditions, and to encourage the interaction and transfer of knowledge between basic scientists and the clinical community.

The 10th SGGD meeting will be held in Bergen on 6th – 8th May 2026. Like in previous years it will be an opportunity to meet people – scientists, clinicians and other professionals – who actively participate in research in the field of (epi)genomics and proteomics of diabetes, its complications and related diseases.

The stimulating programme will include a mixture of keynote lectures, invited talks and oral presentations from early-career scientists, along with poster discussions ensuring an excellent and stimulating scientific environment.
